Bloodborne Pathogens Training Course

The Bloodborne Pathogens training course is designed to instill knowledge and preparedness in a person for real-life occurrences such as external bleeding and recognition and control of it. This class has certain graphic videos and photographs used to explain and provide for the class to see what to look for in real-life situations. If persons are unable to view content, it is suggested they not take the training. Minimum for this training is 6 individuals.

What you can expect during this course

During this training course, participants learn how to identify, prevent, and respond to potential exposure to bloodborne diseases in the workplace. The course covers OSHA regulations, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe handling and disposal of contaminated materials, and emergency response procedures to minimize health risks.

This training is required for healthcare workers, first responders, janitorial staff, and any employees who may come into contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) in the workplace.

The course covers OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, methods of transmission, exposure control plans, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe handling of contaminated materials, and emergency response procedures.

OSHA requires employees to complete Bloodborne Pathogens training annually to stay updated on safety protocols and maintain compliance with workplace health regulations.
